Price Matching...
We've all heard at some point a store's claims that they will match the price of a product sold at a competitor's store if they can verify that the product is sold for less somewhere else. Many people probably believe that if you find a product sold for less money at another store, why wouldn't you just buy it there? In most cases, that argument is valid; however, certain stores (i.e. Costco, BJ's) require a paid membership to make purchases, and other stores are notorious for having better policies in place if something happens to be defective or breaks.
It turns out that even though they do not advertise this policy, Best Buy, does price match their competitor's prices. So, if you don't want to shell out $50 per year for a priceclub membership, and want to buy an iTouch that same day (FYI - you probably can find a cheaper price online), check to see if Costco is selling it for less than Best Buy. It's one extra step, but like any good recessionista, putting in a little extra time can lead to more money in your pocket! Besides, you are going to need those extra dollars to put towards your iTunes and App purchases.
Oh, and while you are shopping at Best Buy, make sure to take advantage of their free rewards program. You will earn 1 point for nearly every $1 spent and redeem reward certificates at all Best Buy stores and at BestBuy.com.
